Meeting on elaborated hypotheses and research design: February 6/7, 2023

The first day of the meeting took place at the department of sociology, University of Vienna, where core contextual differences and similarities between the three cities were reviewed. In a workshop organized by IDRA the potentiality of new municipalism’s as a shared framework within the different territories was discussed. The second day of the workshop invited the local stakeholders in the Vienna case study, including its urban government and civil society partners. The key discussion points were the underlying assumptions and risks behind activating vulnerable social groups and facilitating inclusive citizen participation in the ULL process. Additionally, in a workshop led by the University of Vienna team, the stakeholders shared their experiences and expectations from Wiener Klimateam, and reflected on strengths and opportunities.
